Blazers Sunday School Class
Peachtree Road United Methodist Church
Susan was born in Montgomery, Alabama and grew up in Winter Haven, Florida, and attended the University of Florida. She started her business career with Rich's in Atlanta, then moved to New Orleans where she began to master her gourmet cooking and renovation skills. Next Susan went to Chicago for 12 years, returning to Atlanta in 1987. Her profession was printing sales. Her avocation and passion were renovating houses, turning trash into treasure. She was relentless for success in her profession and her passion. Susan also loved gardening, cooking and preparing a gourmet meal---shared with family and friends. I (Ronnie) always wanted to help, but she would tell me, "stand back". When it was all prepared and ready, she would say to the guests "all rise" or maybe, "it's show time" and "God bless the presentation".
Susan was a very endearing person, a good friend to many, always wanting to lend a helping hand or thought. She had a strong rage to live and would try almost anything (both spiritual and alternative) for good health. She was a passionate student of cancer and was always searching for answers and meaning. She wanted to share the information learned from extensive reading about cancer and healthy living. She did so with her family and friends, trying to make a difference in the lives of others.
Susan had a special place in her heart for her Sunday school class, "The Blazers". She looked forward each Sunday to seeing her many friends that offered her so much love, friendship, prayers, and support.
Her memories live on as she is still missed and loved.
