Rebecca, known as Becky to family and friends, was born in North Carolina and spent her childhood and adolescent years in Thomasville, Georgia. There, surrounded by numerous public and private gardens in a city known worldwide for its roses, she developed a lifelong love of flowers and gardening. As an adult, she spent much time as a volunteer for such notable causes as the Atlanta Symphony Associates where she chaired events such as the Annual Decorators' Show House and the Sleigh bell Luncheon and Fashion Show. Even though busy with these activities, Becky found time to become a Master Gardner and spent many happy and productive hours working in her various garden projects. Even though she came to Peachtree Road United Methodist Church and the Blazers Sunday School class relatively late in her life, Becky found a spiritual home in both and she touched and was touched by many good people there.
